Dear CHS Students & Parents/Guardians:
As we move closer to normality, the Collingswood High School summer reading program will resume for September 2021.
As usual, all students are required to select a book from our list of 26 titles and complete guided questions. This will account for their first English grade for the 2021-22 school year. As always we encourage parents and students to examine the content advisory before committing to a selection.
Although students are responsible for obtaining their own books, note that our LMC currently has the CHS summer reading titles in stock. Please contact Ms. Madden directly (email@example.com) with your title request and she can initiate check out. We have scheduled book pickup dates on Tuesday 5/18, Thursday 5/20, and Tuesday 5/25 from 12:30 to 1:30. This drive-by book pickup will take place at the Collingswood High School cafeteria on Cambridge Avenue.
All details on the summer reading assignment will be reviewed in class and also posted on the district website. Please contact me (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you have any questions.

Collingswood High School 2021 Summer Reading
This year’s summer reading list contains twenty six titles both fiction and nonfiction, and span a wide array of topics. Students will read a title over the summer.
Given the nature of this school year, there will be no discussion groups in September. However, students will be required to complete the written questions and submit answers to their English teachers for credit.
- Students must obtain their own books.
- There will be no extensions given for the summer reading assignment.
- Choose a book, enjoy it, and complete your questions and written assignment. It is as simple as that.
- Return to school in September, submit your answers to your teacher, and obtain credit toward your Q1 grade
